📦 Load Optimization
The Load Optimization module (Density Reports) is designed to ensure you are getting the most out of every mile. By tracking the "Density" of shipments, you can maximize trailer capacity and reduce shipping costs per unit.
Density Reports​
Run reports to analyze how efficiently trailers are being packed.
Key Metrics​
- Total Capacity Used: Percentage of the trailer volume utilized.
- Weight vs. Volume: Identify if you are maxing out on weight before volume, or vice versa.
Usage​
Use these reports during the planning phase to identify:
- Under-utilization: Shipments that could be combined with others.
- Overloading Risks: Loads that might exceed safety limits.
By regularly reviewing Density Reports, the shipping department can provide feedback to Sales and Production to improve packaging and ordering patterns.
